Adele is getting ready to take an extended break from releasing new music and performing, giving her fans a heads-up about the upcoming hiatus.

In recent years, the singer has been performing at sold-out residency shows across the U.S. and internationally. On August 31, Adele concluded her residency in Munich, Germany, where she delivered an emotional message to her audience, explaining her need for a well-deserved break.

During her final Munich performance, which fans captured and shared on social media, the 36-year-old artist expressed her gratitude to the crowd.

“I know I’m not the most natural performer, but I’m damn good at it,” Adele remarked. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed performing for almost three years now, which is the longest stretch of shows I’ve ever done – and probably the longest I’ll ever do.”

Originally, her Munich performances were meant to be her last shows of the year. However, her Las Vegas residency dates, which were rescheduled earlier from March to November, are still pending.

“I’ve still got five more weeks of shows left,” she told the audience. “But after that, you won’t be seeing me for quite some time. I will carry you all in my heart during my break, and I’ll be reminiscing about these shows and all the performances I’ve done over the past three years.”

She emphasized how deeply her residency performances have impacted her.

“It’s been incredible. I just need some time to rest,” she said as the crowd erupted in applause. “Over the past seven years, I’ve been working on building a new life for myself, and now I want to enjoy living it.”

The Grammy-winning artist became emotional as she spoke about her desire to focus on her personal life. Adele is the mother of an 11-year-old son, Angelo, and has also been linked to engagement rumors with her long-term partner, Rich Paul.

“I will miss you all so much,” Adele expressed to the crowd during her final Munich show.

Earlier in July, during an interview with the German publication ZDF, Adele opened up about her plans to step away from the music scene for a while.

“I have no plans for new music right now,” she admitted, according to Variety. “I’m looking forward to a long break after this and want to explore other creative interests, at least for a little while.”

Adele hasn’t dropped any new music since her fourth studio album, “30,” which was released in November 2021. Her ongoing residency shows kicked off a year later in November 2022, showcasing her incredible voice and performances.

Although fans will need to be patient for her return, Adele hinted in January that she does intend to create another album someday.

“I just don’t see myself writing another album anytime soon,” she mentioned during a performance earlier this year, as seen in a clip shared on social media platform X. “But when I do, I’ll make sure to come to wherever you are.”

While fans wait for her next project, the singer’s upcoming break signals a pause in her musical journey, allowing her to recharge and focus on personal endeavors. Keywords like “Adele’s break from music,” “residency shows,” and “future album plans” highlight her current stage in life, balancing her artistic career and personal growth.

Her residency performances have garnered immense praise, showcasing her powerful vocals and emotional connection with her audience. However, this break is a crucial opportunity for Adele to recharge and focus on her personal life, which she has openly expressed as a priority.

During her candid moments with fans, Adele shared that she’s excited to pursue other creative passions outside of music, signaling that her artistic journey may take a different path for a while. Whether exploring new hobbies, spending quality time with her son Angelo, or nurturing her relationship with longtime partner Rich Paul, this break is all about rediscovering herself outside of the music industry.
