Smuggling Cows
This incident of cow smuggling is from today, and it was witnessed near the Bandrol vegetable market in Kullu (Himachal Pradesh), along a riverside road. An adult man was seen trying to tie an abandoned stray cow and take her with him. Two locals noticed this and, finding it suspicious, approached him to ask questions. When they looked around, they saw some of his associates fleeing the scene.
One man was caught by the locals, and they started questioning him. During the questioning, the locals recorded a video on their mobile phones. In the video, it is clear that the man became very nervous and fearful, unable to answer any of the questions posed to him.
It was evident from the questions and answers that the cow didn’t belong to him. She was a stray, and there was no identification tag on her ears, or it had been removed. As the locals pressed further, the man ran away from the scene. He appeared to be from a different community.
Now, it raises the question: where was he taking that cow? Based on his actions and reactions, his intentions seemed suspicious and possibly illegal. It could be smuggling, or something else that we can’t openly discuss. You can watch the entire scenario in the video below.
